Families Lisa Curtis Has Represented

Armando G.

In 2019, Armando G. underwent surgery but complications arose after medical professionals failed to detect a tear that later became infected.

“Lisa Curtis stood up for me after a botched surgery left me needing 17 more surgeries, with more than $800,000 in medical bills and lasting harm that will affect me for the rest of my life. Her compassion and commitment made a huge difference for me, and I know she’ll stand up for you, too, when you’re trying to get the healthcare you need.”

On June 12, 2023, Cody Godinez was killed in a gas explosion in Stanley, New Mexico. The propane system had been improperly installed, and a required safety test that would have detected the gas leak was never performed. Cody’s mother, Karen, suffered severe burns while trying to drag her son out of the burning area.

“Nobody ever wants to need a lawyer. But when you're in our position, you need someone to stand up for you and hold people accountable for what they've done, so it doesn't happen to anybody else.

It all comes down to safety. If these big companies aren't held responsible, it could easily happen to another family. Lisa is giving us back a piece of our lives, because we can never get back what we want most. And that's Cody.”

Carlos O.

In 2010, Carlos O., an Intel engineer and Northeast Heights resident, underwent surgery for diverticulitis. What followed was devastating: Carlos lost his spleen and 75% of his intestines, leaving him with lifelong medical consequences.

“Lisa Curtis is like a superhero. She is as smart and as capable as anyone you’ll ever meet and she’s spent her whole life fighting for people like me and doing what’s right.”

— Carlos O., engineer, Albuquerque
